19th and 20th january 2026

The IED Milan libraries are organising two webinars dedicated to WGSN, international reference platform for trend forecasting analysis, which will take place on 19 and 20 January 2026, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

The two sessions aim to provide students and staff with a structured introduction to WGSN's tools and contents, which are useful for research and project development in the fields of design, fashion, communication and other creative industries.

On Monday, 19 January, the webinar will be held in Italian, while the English session is scheduled for Tuesday, 20 January. This allows participants to attend the session that best suits their language needs.

The meeting will follow the following schedule:

Overview of the session and objectives

About WGSN (5 min)
Who we are and what we do
How WGSN supports education and creative learning

Platform navigation (35 min)
A guided tour of the WGSN platform, including:

STEPIC Framework: our approach to understanding the future through Society, Technology, Environment, Politics, Industry and Creativity
Insight Page: exploring Consumer, Marketing and Retail insights
Events + Culture: tracking cultural shifts and global happenings
City by City: local trend movements across global markets
Fashion Design: design tools, product reports, catwalk coverage and Buyer Briefing

Q&A and closing (15 min)
•   Open questions and discussion
•   Next steps and support
