IED Libraries also collaborate with MLOL (MediaLibrary OnLine), the first and most important digital lending platform in Italy.
By logging in to IED MLOL with the credentials provided by the Library (click here for more info) you can borrow ebooks, audio books and films free of charge from any device.
Complete catalogues of editors such as Giunti, Bompiani, Mondadori, Feltrinelli, Adelphi and a selection of more academic publishers such as Princeton Architectural Press, Bloomsbury Academic, Yale University Press, Fairchild books, Berg and others are available in MLOL for IED. An open collection of thousands of free-to-access digital media (classics, literature, and non-fiction) are also available.
The MLOL catalogue is also gradually expanded through the requests of its users: you can request an ebook to be purchased indicating the name in your reference library.
How to access the resource and how digital lending works
On Campus / Off Campus: log in to ied.medialibrary.it using your credentials.
The process of borrowing ebooks is quick and easy: simply download the MLOL eBook Reader app from the stores and access the app with the credentials you use on the website; search for the desired ebook in the catalogue and borrow it; go to the cloud, click the cover and start reading.
Lists and stories
You can create reading lists (we have created a few that you may be interested in) and share them with other readers, i.e. decide to make them public. You can also create visual paths (MLOL stories) with IIF standard images that are increasingly being added to the Open catalogue.
Find out more about creating an MLOL story here.
Recommended readings
The MLOL recommended readings system will be launched for the first time on 23 May 2023: it is a service that allows you to receive personalised feedback on titles that dynamically adapt to your individual preferences and reading habits.
