Material connexion is a database that has collected over 10,000 innovative materials and processes, presenting them on sheets with descriptions in English, images and manufacturer contact info. Physical samples are available from the Satellite Libraries.
The database envisages different search parameters: by keywords, type of materials, sensory and physical characteristics, performance, sustainability characteristics, and many more.
The Campus licence provides unlimited access to individual accounts via academic email and access, by appointment only, to the Satellite Library of Material Connexion Italia, located at Materially, Viale Sarca 336, Milan.
How to access the resource
On Campus: https://www.materialconnexion.com. If you use your own PC you must be connected to the IED Wi-Fi.
Off Campus: click here. Enter your email and password. The platform will acknowledge the institution you belong to.
