Library Guide
IED Roma Libraries make available to students over 5,000 books which can be accessed in the designated consultation areas.
The Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC), a universally valid bibliographic classification, has been applied to the collections.
The collection is of a specialist nature and aims to meet the information requirements of students and lecturers. The acquisition criteria are based on: course educational needs, updating of existing material, new publications in our areas of interest, coverage of thematic shortcomings, provision of catalogues of the main national and international exhibitions, user requests if deemed relevant.
The collection is also upgraded by the acquisition of volumes of particular value, available for consultation only. The lending service is not envisaged for volumes of the following types:
- dictionaries, encyclopaedias and works of general interest
- educational material supporting the courses and more readily consultable
- periodicals and yearbooks
- works in poor condition
Our catalogue is online.
