Flipster is a service that allows you to access digital magazines from your computer or any mobile device via the app that can be downloaded free of charge from the stores. 

The platform provides a dynamic and user-friendly experience, with tools that facilitate browsing and text searches in all the editions available, including the possibility of downloading for offline reading. 

IED libraries have subscribed to the following magazines:

- Aesthetica: a UK magazine on design, photography, architecture, music and cinema launched in 2002;

- Aperture: founded in 1952 in New York, it dedicates its pages to contemporary photography;

- Applied Arts: published in Canada since the 90s, it specialises in visual arts and design, with a particular focus on graphics, advertising, illustration and photography;

- Azure: an international magazine founded in 1985 and published in Canada, it specialises in architecture, interiors, product design, landscape design and contemporary urban planning;

- Dwell: an American magazine, founded in 2000, that publishes the current and future trends of interior and outdoor design;

- Wired: an American magazine, founded in 1993, on lifestyle and technology;

- Milk: a French magazine on women's and children's fashion founded in 2003; 

- Selvedge: published in the UK since 2004, it focuses on textiles, with updates on innovative materials and emerging artists;

- Creative Quarterly: a publication of art, graphic design, illustration and photography;

- Animation Magazine: American magazine that deals with art, technology, animation and special effects;

- MIT Technology Review: Massachusetts Institute of Technology's bimonthly periodical that focuses on new technologies and their commercialization.

- Metalsmith: published by the Society of North American Goldsmiths, the American magazine, active for over 35 years, deals with contemporary jewelry art and design.

- Communication arts:  published in California since 1959, specialising in visual communication is the largest creative magazine dedicated to design, advertising, illustration, photography, interactive media and typography.



How to access the resource

On campus: search.ebscohost.com. If you use your own PC you must be connected to the IED Wi-Fi.

Off campus
- download the Flipster Mobile App: select “IED - Istituto Europeo di Design” from the list of Institutions and enter the credentials provided by the Library;
- OPAC reserved area. Apply for your credentials at the library or here. Once you have logged in, you will find the Flipster access link in Databases.
